Bad place and environment. My grandmother used to stay at this place and she hated it alot. I definitely wouldn't... recommend anyone to send their love ones to a place that's very unprofessional and unfriendly. Also I wouldn't recommend anyone to work here as well....read more

ABUSIVE PLACE - STAY AWAY: The Nurse named Maryann (or Mary Ann) is abusive, stay away from this place. Plus, they are... understaffed. This affects the (overworked) staff and consequently the patients, in a very bad way. Plus I know inside information regarding what the nurses here did to the patients in regards to COVID in order to save face - it's a bombshell. The health department had to get involved. If Maryann and her superiors do not apologize for they did to Nurse A (EVA, see below), I'll have no choice but to elaborate on what the nurses here did in regards to covid.[The straw that broke the camel's back was a case where a Nurse (we'll call her EVA to protect her identity) finished her 8 hour shift at 3pm (7am-3pm). But they didn't have a nurse to take over her shift at 3pm. So they told Eva you must stay for a number of additional hours. This is despite Eva standing on her feet all day with only a 3 minute break, there was not even time to eat. Eva's gas tank was completely empty, and she had little kids at home who were waiting for her and needed her care, plus she's pregnant and couldn't continue, she needed to go. But they refused to let her go, even after 2 hrs past her shift, they still didn't let her go. Maryann threatened Eva if she dares leaving, she can lose her Nurse's license. When Eva tried making arrangements for someone to watch her kids, Maryann told her sternly "stop looking at your watch (which Eva used in order to text to find arrangements, it's a smartwatch) just get back to work" - this is at a time where Eva's shift is far from over already. I could cite other specific examples of how DISGUSTING Maryann was and the way she acted. Eva is pregnant with children at home waiting for her, Eva was completely out of gas, she said it was utter cruelty and torture she couldn't stand on her feet anymore, but with the threat of losing her license , she could not leave until they allow her, she had no choice but to listen. She was so weak, she didn't even have strength to argue with them. It was only when Eva's husband came down to intervene and plead for her rescue (they threatened husband to call the police on husband for waiting patiently in the building corridor), only then was she allowed to leave - half an hour later. There's zero compassion here, and total abusiveness. And to not have a nurse to take over at 3pm, that's completely dysfunctional, but whatever, that's their choice, but to force labor a nurse who's on a completely empty gas tank, who had no break, was on her feet all day and had no time to eat (because was busy with patients all day) and has to go home already to her kids that are waiting at home, and to do so for a few hours past her shift (with a threat of revoking her license if she goes) that's crossing a red line. This is in addition to violating the FLSA law, by making Eva work for 10 hours with no break at all for, not even a 5 minute break, to eat something or sit down.Should I also tell you what the nurses here did to the patients regarding covid in order to save themselves? If the admins and Maryann don't reach out with an apology, rest assured I'll spill the beans. This story will shut down this nursing facility for good, and they deserve every bit of it, after how they conducted themselves in this cruel and shameful manner.read more

Worst place to send a human being that you care for! Listen to the reviews. Think twice before you send a human being... there. Guaranteed not to get the minimum care needed. This place should be considered a cemetery. Compassion doesn’t exist at this facility. Don’t be fooled that it’s in Beachwood Ohio. They don’t even meet the doctors orders. I wonder when was the last time the state visited this place.read more

I'm an agency nurse that is designated to non-covid patients. This is done to prevent caregivers spreading covid to... patients who don't otherwise have it. I showed up at an assignment to this facility and was ordered to take care of 3 covid positive patients that were intermingled among 20 negative patients. This facility was aware that covid patients were not to be assigned to us. Patients are contracting covid at this facility due to Management's failure to follow ODH guidelines. When I explained I couldn't take those patients or I would have to self isolate and cancel all my shifts for 2 weeks, I was told "we don't care" "that's not our problem" and that I would be reported for patient abandonment (by a "manager" that doesn't even know the proper definition of abandonment). I was a covid ICU nurse in new York from march-july. Sometimes you just need to accept that other people know more than you about some things, even if you don't like their skin color. I was also cursed at and berated by an AIDE for my refusal of this assignment. She clearly has no place but just decided she'd jump on the bullying and harassment bandwagon. I would suggest nurses to stay away unless you're the proper ethnic minority to avoid harassment and incivility. I've reported to the ODH which is my duty, hopefully before they infect more high risk patients with their negligence.read more

Discharge is a joke. You speak to nurses that don’t even know the patient. Send patients home without vital meds and... oxygen. No notice given.read more

Horrible care--nurses and aides work hard to care for elderly in environment that doesn't support or value its staff or... its patients. There is constant turnover and so care is scattered at best. Needs new CEO, charge nurse, lead nurse, social workers and others in executive offices who are competent, skilled and capable of operating a quality care facility.read more

I was employed with Montefiore for almost 6 years. What was once a great place to work for has now changed drastically.... No longer the place that cared for not only it’s patients but also the employees. The floor staff is excellent and deserve any accolades they receive. There are are some truly hard workers who really care about what they do. Where the problem lies is administration. They are not caring and money driven. They do not care for the employees or the residents. And it shows in how the facility has changed. The things that take place there and are allowed to happen is not right. The only care is to fill a bed and receive funding. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.read more
